Day 5 What you say, chocolate every day?

What diet do you know allows you to eat chocolate every day?  (up to 6???) I love chocolate!  I never eat chocolate every day! Tough life I guess as we journey on our life changing experience of taking our health back.

We may have one of two different types of bars either a Natural Oatmeal Rasin or a chocolate peanut butter crunch that is a low glycemic meal alternative.  Some nuts and an apple and two delicious shakes, a few hard boiled eggs and to top it all off with a healthy dinner!

Lorraine is the most fantastic cook!  She picks up the slack for my lack of talent on the grill as well.

We both just did our first cleanse day yesterday, and today we feel the difference in our belly's.   Lorraine has lost 12 pounds, and I have lost 14 pounds.  As long as she maintains her bust I am all for it :)

I had my first close call at Starbucks where  I do my homework.  I have two freebies in the Star program and did a mobile order for two of their carved ham and swiss breakfast sandwiches and a regular coffee but the stars paid for one of the sandwiches and the coffee instead of both of the sandwiches!  I then thought about it, and how I would be cheating on Lorraine if I indulged as well as cheating myself to continue to see what these products will do for us.  I also thought about the money that we are saving; that will be needed down the road for Rolling Thunder and a few other events I have coming up.  I know Lorraine would forgive me but would I forgive myself.  I opted out and deleted the order.

I then thought about how we will be able to eat Christmas Dinner.  So our goal is to make it the duration of the first month aside of a Christmas dinner which in all actuality we can still indulge just in moderation and this new diet does allow for me to eat, to begin with so perhaps we will not be getting off the track at all!

What I learned the day after the cleanse is, have the second shake and start on the snacks earlier than at lunch to hold me over for dinner.   :)

:)   I use the word "belly" until we regain what is called a stomach :)

Day 4

Wonderful news!!!  Lorraine and I lost 10 pounds since Sunday!  Today is our first day of cleansing.  What is neat about what we are doing is there are snacks associated with the program and an energy shot!  My snacks are these tasty wafers and a chunk of chocolate infused with green tea. This first month is intense, but we see a difference daily.  On top of all of this, we are saving money!  I am keeping track of the expenses we would usually spend on Starbucks and eating out, as a tally to also look at when it comes to adding up the value of this regimen.

For me, I have to maintain, because of all my public appearances.  People invite me to go to Patriotic events all over the Country, and they want me in my Marine Corps Dress Blues.  They are custom fitted to a tee and fitted last May, and now I look like "El Heffy"!  It is embarrassing and not the standards we have as Marines!  It is almost to the point of buying a new set or not wearing it all together because we have an image to maintain.  I would never take away from that.

As I travel, I go and inspire people and our youth to be respectful, compassionate citizens.   I care so much for people and attempt to express to them that they are special, and needed in society just how they are!  Some people never get a pat on the back and told that they are doing a good job, and it amazes me when I find out later how something so simple touched their lives, just like my salute.

Lorraine is a beautiful woman inside and out.  She understands the importance of preventative maintenance and is excited to become healthier and go shopping for some new clothes!  Ones that Lorraine will be able to wear for years to come!  She also travels with me from time to time and feels the expectations people have.

We would love people to reach out to us and join our journey to take our health back!

Day 3

Running around today and I kept having these cravings to buy something to eat!  I passed by Popeyes, thought maybe I could just tear off the skin.  I then found my eyes looking at Mexican craving a carne asada burrito.   These are normal things I would do running around.   The fact of the matter, though, I wasn't hungry it was just a normal thing to do.  I believe it is like a smoker that may be using a patch and they still crave to have the cigarette in their hands.  The shakes, snacks, and one meal, along with the amount of water it calls for me to drink fulfills my hunger.  This month is a cleansing month so it is more strict on what we can digest.

Lorraine mentioned she is starting to feel lighter and not as bloated and she also feels more energy that gets her through the day! She thinks my belly has gone down also!  Lorraine lost another pound, and I lost 1.8lbs!

The shakes taste great!  We got a blender not that we needed another one, but today for the first time I shook my shake and the travel mug it comes with actually worked real well.

For me this month I am doing this without any regular exercise.  My work keeps me busy 70 hours a week, and I have school.  Another thing I want to prove with this program is to my 1000's of friends that may have a limited amount of time to work out, that this can be a feasible solution towards assisting you towards a healthy lifestyle.

Day 2

We have began our journey towards taking our health back with a nutritional system utilizing natural nutritional cleansing. We just realized we are starting this during the toughest part of the year, the holidays!  I watched football yesterday and salivated over every restaurant and fast food commercial! Somehow I noticed them more than usual.

Our promise we made to each other for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part.  That doesn't mean we do not have an obligation to make it easier on each other by taking controll of our health, for whatever adversity may come down the road, it will not be self inflicted upon our livelyhood together.  It also gets old buying clothes you cannot wear because you no longer fit in them!

Today is our second day, and we both lost 6+ pounds! Now the real challenge begins with inserting this program in our everyday lives! I am hoping our success will excite people to take the same steps in their lives and start living healthy. We have witnessed the success stories that inspired us to make the plunge! Preventative maintenance can set you free of future health complications and we are not getting any younger!

If you want to make the plunge and take your health back, please do not hesitate to contact us!  (We were going to wait and publish these blogs once after we had seen success but thought people may want to jouney with us!)
